Data Engineer (Analytics Consultant)

Who are we looking for?

This is an outstanding opportunity for a data engineer with a particular enjoyment working with data analytic software such as SQL and Python, to join our growing Analytics Team.

What will you be doing?

• Assist in the management and delivery of development tasks. Collaborate with Senior Consultants to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Assist in developing and implementing test plans under the direction of senior consultants.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, aiding in the identification of tasks and actions necessary for project delivery.
• Help with UAT with guidance from more experienced staff.
• Support the enforcement of coding standards among internal and external developers under the mentorship of senior consultants.
• Cover data related technical support (first line on rotation)
• Assist with data related technical support (second line)

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, Maths or a related field.
• Understanding of data engineering concepts and practices (DW, Star schema, Partitions).
• 1 -3 Years experience with the Microsoft technology stack, including SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and Power BI.
• 1- 3 Years of SQL and experience with database management and data modelling.
• 1 – 3 Years of experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools within any AWS/Google Cloud/Azure
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic problem-solving and analytical skills.
